    Catalytic converter grant paid for city of Galveston's Flock cameras

    The Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority awarded the city a $460,088 grant in 2025, of which the city used $389,100 to fund 80% of the initial 34 Flock cameras now placed around the island, Police Chief Balli said.
